UNICEF ProgramsUNICEF has partnered with the Bahá’ís for many years to provide service for children. Students in the U.S. are an essential part of UNICEF’s efforts to advance the rights of their global peers through health, education, equality and protection. In response to requests for UNICEF curricula and activities that may take place at any time during the year, the U. S. Fund for UNICEF has developed new education resources and a volunteer program, both of which can be accessed for free through the Internet. TeachUNICEF.org is an online resource created to help educators engage students as active global citizens in learning about UNICEF’s efforts worldwide. With lesson plans based on the “State of the Word’s Children” report, TeachUNICEF.org provides opportunities for students to learn about UNICEF and contribute positively to the world. UNICEF Volunteer Center that offers activities and resources to promote awareness, fundraising and advocacy. Resources include an online bulletin board to share ideas and give feedback, a calendar of local events, and interactive activities for youth, campus groups, and adults that help convey UNICEF issues in fun and hands-on ways.
