Association for Bahá’í Studies Conference

The Association for Bahá’í Studies promotes the development and dissemination of scholarship on the Bahá’í Faith in North America. The Association holds an annual conference, as well as occasional seminars and symposia. Through its Area Committees, it sponsors regional Bahá’í Studies activities across the United States, which provide further opportunities for scholars to present the results of their research and to exchange ideas.

Organized by the Rabbani Charitable Trust, the Bahá’í Conference on Social and Economic Development showcases charitable, religious, literary and educational organizations, to promote the spiritual and social well being of the entire human race. Established by Eshraghieh and Mahmoud Rabbani, life-long members of the Bahá’í Faith, the Rabbani Charitable Trust has a mission to raise and disburse funds for organizations which help people of all faiths and creeds.

Conference of the Association of Friends of Persian Culture

In 1991 the Persian-American Affairs office received the approval of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United States to establish the “Friends of the Persian Culture Association.” The Association was created with the following goals: helping the Bahá’ís with an Iranian background to preserve their cultural, literary, and artistic heritage; encouraging the Bahá’í children, youth, and young adults to learn the Persian language; familiarizing the Bahá’í community as a whole with the culture of Iran, the birth place of the Bahá’í Faith, in order to facilitate their study of Bahá’í Writings and history.

At the annual gatherings of the Association, the different aspects of the culture of Iran-especially in relation to the Bahá’í Faith-are discussed, artistic programs are presented, galleries for exhibiting the work of Iranian artists are organized, and the results of recent studies in the area of Iranian culture are presented.

D.C. Bahá’í Congress

The D.C. Youth Congress is a conference held every thanksgiving weekend in Washington, D.C. This conference gives youth between the ages of all ages a forum to speak and learn about issues in their lives and communities. There is special focus on community building, service opportunities, and practical applications of Bahá’í principles.

Green Lake Bahá'í Conference

Each year the Green Lake Bahá’í Conference brings together presenters of National and International reputation in the Bahá’í community. Arts and intergenerational activities infuse the weekend. Workshops throughout the weekend restore us in direct ways, providing practical instruments for healing racism, resolving conflict, and increasing community and individual vitality. An introduction to the Bahá’í Faith is included among workshop options. Concurrently running youth (ages 15-18) and junior youth (ages 12-14) conferences along with a full set of highly rated children’s classes are provided.
